SO! Once upon a freaking time… I had no scanner. Technically, the printer my family had was a printer/copier/fax machine/scanner, but the software needed for scanning was lost for eternity. And that made me displeased. So I whined to my friends about it, occasionally mooched off my uncle, and whined some more. THEN! My parents decided to switch internet providers. There was a reason why, but I’m an ignorant, fickle, and spoiled American teenager; I pay no attention to those sorts of things. But I do go economically superior on my eighty-something religion teacher. Not to be mean of course, but to say, “Hey. That’s not true. And by the way, I’m a NON-CONFORMIST. Kthxbai.” That, however, is irrelevant to my epic scanner tale. On with it.
So when we got the new internet, the printer fails to work on the wireless network and my mother got VERY PO’d at some customer service folks who were hardly what one would call helpful. It was quite funny to listen to. So, mom decides to go questing for a new printer. And she decides that I shall be the sidekick this time, because Josh is playing Medal of Honor on the Wii, shooting things. Grandma also gets conned into coming and off we go.
During to ride out to Best Buy, we have a number of interesting conversations that I can’t remember because I was playing a rediscovered Pokemon game, and had my attention kidnapped, tied up, and thrown into a small dark space by the accursed thing. My Gyarados’ name is Fluffy and I have a Flareon named Jirou. The only conversation I do remember is one on Dracula, because I was pretty much the only one talking, meaning I was switching between telling Dante (my Lv. 40 Charmander of all things) to bitchslap the other Pokemon and ranting about how racist the book was to the Romani. That and how anti-climatic the book was. Hmph. Seriously. Excellent book though, and I highly recommend it. My favorite character is Count Dracula. He is so awesome.
Ummm… and we went to Best Buy, mom looked at scanners whilst I played Guitar Hero III on an Xbox, which was lame, and grandma wandered around. Then we went to kings for dinner, came home, installed the darn thing and here I am. Wow. I really lost enthusiasm there, didn’t I? Meh, whatever. Oh, and I have a Haunter I named Lolicard, which just so happens to be female. How the heck to Haunters have genders? They don't even have any corporeal bodies... *goes off to ponder*
